The problem with that is you lose all your data and also all the installed software. Third parties could intercept the information that you share with others and I strongly advise against using Internet for buying on-line or accessing Bank Accounts. Further more there are a number of Spywares, Remote Administration Tools (RATs), Trackwares and Key Loggers that store and e-mail every key that you press to a third party without your knowledge. There is a Trackware called 'Alexa' is bundled with Microsoft WinXP and IE6 which brings targeted advertisements to your computer, after you provide initial consent for this task. This adware may track your browsing habits and report this info to a central ad server. This Trackware could be removed using PestPatrol. Virus Scan software alone is not adequate to detect any RATs and Spyware on your machine. It is unbelievable how easy it is to get hold of RATs, Loggers and Spywares on the internet and remotely Spy on any unprotected computer and get hold of any information on their computer. I strongly recommend that you install a good firewall to block all the open ports on your computer and install a Windows Watch Dog such as Win Patrol to block any unwanted changes into your registries by Trojans.
